Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Capvoro ("Service"), operated by Capvoro ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to use Capvoro. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using Capvoro on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@capvoro.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or remain inactive for an extended period, with or without prior notice.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or infringes any third-party rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content from Capvoro at scale.
• Abuse the AI feedback system with prompt injection, adversarial inputs, or other attacks.
• Impersonate another person or create fake accounts.
• Circumvent rate limits or other security measures.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.

We may moderate community content and task submissions for policy compliance. We use automated moderation (including AI) to assist with this.

4. AI-Generated Content

Capvoro uses AI to generate task feedback, quality scores, and polished portfolio outputs from the content you submit.

• AI-generated feedback is for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice (legal, financial, medical, career, or otherwise).
• AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent. Always apply your own judgement.
• By submitting a task, you grant us permission to process your submission text through our AI coaching engine. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• You retain ownership of the original content you write. AI-generated outputs based on your content are provided to you for personal use under these Terms.

5. Content Ownership & Licence

Your content. You own the original text, ideas, and responses you submit. By submitting content to the Service (task responses, community posts, comments), you grant Capvoro a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service. We will not sell your content to third parties or use it for advertising.

Our content. Course materials, lesson content, UI design, and all other content on Capvoro are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without our written permission.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

Capvoro is currently free. When paid features launch:

• You will never be charged without taking an explicit action to purchase (no hidden auto-upgrades).
• Subscription prices, billing periods, and cancellation terms will be clearly disclosed before purchase.
• Payments are processed through our payment provider (RevenueCat / App Store / Google Play). We do not store your card details.
• All sales are final unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice.

7. Community Guidelines

The Capvoro community is a space for learners to share progress, ideas, and support. To keep it useful:

• Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks.
• Keep posts relevant to learning business and marketing skills.
• Do not spam or post promotional content without permission.
• Do not share others' personal information without consent.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate community guidelines, at our sole discretion.

8. Certificates & Portfolio Sharing

Upon completing a pathway, you receive a verifiable completion certificate. This certificate is evidence that you completed Capvoro's course requirements. It is not a professional qualification or accreditation from any regulatory body.

Shareable portfolio links you generate are public by default. You can disable sharing at any time from your profile settings.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Capvoro and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $10 USD.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Capvoro and its team from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the Service.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for any reason with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections relating to content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

EU/UK users: Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply and are not limited by these Terms. Nothing in this section removes any rights you have under applicable EU or UK law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
